My review/ Thoughts!
The book starts out with the prologue about what happen to
Travis's mom and those special last words that help mold Travis into who he is
today, Quote from his mom in the book "One of these days you're going to
fall in love, son. Don’t settle for just anyone. Choose the girl that doesn't
come easy, the one you have to fight for, and never stop fighting. Never."
Wow! Those are some are some powerful
words to say to a little kid but so meaning fun, it truly shows how much Travis
mom cares about him. Jaime McGuire makes you feel all the emotion that the
characters are feeling. I feel like Travis character in the book can be a bit
more relate able when it comes to his emotions and feeling because when
he’s passionate about something it shows. But i also have a better
understanding on why Travis act and does the things he does because he always
remembers what his mom has told him. On another note he can be a loose cannon.
I'm in love with Travis point of view, because in beautiful disaster we get the
impression he’s this bad boy that all about one thing and one
thing only if you know what I mean ;). But it turns out that that's
not the case and that he is a very loyal and caring guy and is a family man
sort of. Travis is immediately intrigued by Abby because she really doesn't
give him the time of day. Nobody has done that to Travis Maddox someone that's
use to getting what he wants and is use to all these groupies. Immediately
Travis and Abby become best friends because Travis Sees himself in Abby in
away. Nobody really understands what make Abby so different beside she’s not
sleeping with him (yet). The empowering feelings he grows to have to have for
Abby makes people like me wish we had somebody like Travis Maddox. Through so
many Fights and argument and Travis repeatedly telling
himself he's no good for Abby, I'm holding the book like HELLO yes you are,
you're exactly what she needs. (If only they could hear me lol). Travis's moms word have been replaying in his head and boy
did he have to fight to keep Abby, literally too. Jaime McGuire at the end gives us an epilogue into the future of the Maddox's 11 years to be exact.
They both have graduated Travis works for the FBI and Abby is a school teacher. They have two kids one little
girl who is exactly like Travis and one little boy who is exactly like Abby. The book ended the way I
wanted it to because the was beautiful Disaster ended made you want so much
more I felt like Jaime McGuire brought that into walking disaster.
Ratings: I give it five stars because I felt Jamie McGuire delivered to her readers.
